TICOMM & PROMACO srl: the Industry 4.0 revolution in a small company operating in the field of fiberglass

THE CHALLENGE

The Ticomm & Promaco Group, with over 40 years of history, stands out as the only one to produce automated fiberglass-reinforced plastic (GRP) gratings, made in Italy. EUROGRATE® is its leading brand recognized throughout Europe for the production of gratings, profiles, vertical stairs, fences, guardrails, and safety products all made of fiberglass.

The group, consisting of 100 employees, including 35 in production, headquartered in Gorgonzola (MI) and a production plant in Loreo (RO), has seen a growing demand for customized projects over the years. In response to this, in 2022, it decided to expand its machinery park with 3 BIESSE machines: 2 Primus 420 + 1 Rover C FT 2248. These purchases have significantly increased the company’s productivity by taking advantage of the tax incentives of the Transition Plan 4.0 and taking the first steps towards Industry 4.0.

THE SOLUTION

At Ticomm & Promaco, Orchestra installs the new digital solution for the management of company orders, SMARTCONNECTION, MES software developed by BIESSE in collaboration with the Orchestra RETUNER® product suite, to plan, progress, control, and settle machine operations in production. It is software specifically designed for small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the fiberglass sector that are not yet equipped with a digitized production management system.
